Volratz Rheingau Riesling Qualitaetswein trocken, vintage 2022
The front label of this wine is a vision of the Castle Vollradsfrom 1573, which is now in the Wiesbaden Document Library and is the earliest painting depicting Castle Vollrads.
The year 2022 was unusually dry and hot, with uneven precipitation, but the winery's experienced harvesters picked the grapes at the perfect time and at the perfect ripeness, allowing the winemakers to produce wines with fine flavors and excellent balance.
This wine is fresh with intense fruit and mineral flavors, balanced acidity, crispness and purity. It can be enjoyed with barbecues, salads, light Cantonese cuisine, spicy Sichuan dishes, etc.
Weingut Schloss Vollrads Riesling Kabinett feinherb, vintage 2022
As the pioneer of the classification system, Schloss Vollrads has crafted this wine with great care, which has been widely recognized internationally with numerous awards and has been listed on Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the World.
Reminiscent of childhood favorites such as rock candy, this wine has aromas of lychee and a refreshingly pleasant, sweet and sour balance on the palate, with an aftertaste of peaches, pears and apricots that lingers on the lips.
It can be used as a summer wine to cool down the summer heat, and can also be paired with a variety of dishes, especially Chinese food.
Drink it now for its freshness, or continue to drink it until 2030, when it will gain even more complexity.
Weingut Schloss Vollrads Riesling Sekt, vintage 2022
Schloss Vollrads was one of the first wineries in Germany to produce sparkling wine, with records of production dating back to 1861.
More than half of the best sparkling wines in Germany are made from Riesling. This wine is made with 100% Riesling.
As the crisp, lively bubbles jump in your mouth, the floral aromas of white flowers, jasmine, and honeysuckle burst forth, accompanied by flavors of green apple, pear, and citrus, which are refreshing and sweet.
Serve as an aperitif, alone, or with small snacks and light meals.
Weingut Schloss Vollrads Riesling Spätlese, vintage 2021
Twice listed in Wine Spectator's “Top 100 Wines of the World”, this wine is an example of “sweet but fresh” in a dessert wine.
The grapes for the Spätlese is carefully selected and fermented in stainless steel vats for a long period of time at low temperatures.
The classic Riesling acidity keeps this sweet wine fresh and crisp, with pineapple flavors, elegant acidity, fresh fruit flavors, richness on the palate, and a long, lingering aftertaste and aroma.
This wine can be drunk young or savored after 7-10 years of cellaring. Its complexity and layers of flavors will increase significantly with age. It goes well with spicy foods, desserts and all kinds of fresh creams.
Schloss Vollrads Schlossberg Riesling Qualitätswein trocken VDP Grosses Gewaechs, vintage 2020
The Grosses Gewächs, or GG, are officially recognized as the best plots of land in Germany's top wineries, and only wines from the GG are allowed to be bottled in special bottles engraved with the GG, the symbol of Germany's top wines.
For this reason, the winery has chosen the 1865 label as a tribute to history.
With an annual production of only about 6,000 bottles, the wine has an excellent ability to be stored for a long time.
The wine has been fermented and mellowed for a long time in stainless steel and oak barrels.
The wine is powerful, yet elegant and delicate, with a long aftertaste. Wet pebble, stone fruit and vanilla flavors with a subtle hint of minerality. Pair with bacon, beef, beef loin and vegetables.
